When your mental health care is private pay you have the strictest confidence, avoiding the need for a mental health diagnosis to be communicated to a third party. Additionally, there is no need to negotiate service duration as you and your clinician can determine what is best for you on an individual basis. Your care is truly tailored to you, not to a medical diagnostic code.
The length of your treatment can be discussed with your therapist to determine what is best for you and your needs. There are some clients with challenges that benefit from a few appointments of changed perspective or cognitive reframe and they are good to go. Others, with complicated trauma or years of unresolved pain, may take longer. Some clients, once symptoms have stabilized or resolved, wish to come in periodically for a “booster’ or “tune-up”. This is always an option available to you. Please discuss your desire and expectations around the length of treatment with your clinician. Together you will work out the best plan for you.
In the beginning, weekly visits are often recommended. Building a trusted relationship and establishing rapport with your clinician is integral to the efficacy of your treatment. With large gaps of time between appointments, creating emotional safety can be difficult. It is particularly difficult for young children and adolescents to have extended time between appointments. We do understand therapy is a financial investment that pays big dividends. Talk to your clinician about pacing your appointments. This can also be an ongoing conversation you may revisit periodically.
I know how concerning this can be for you. Please do come though. You will be pleasantly surprised by the benefit of one spouse making changes. Marriage is an intimate dyad, and the positive effects tend to spill over when even one partner alters their thinking.
Welcome! It is our humble privilege to work with you. You can expect a caring, professional relationship with your clinician. Compassionate understanding, supportive guidance, and a trusting relationship are hallmarks of working with an Olive Branch therapist. You can expect the opportunity to speak freely, practice exercises, watch short video clips, and receive handouts or articles to read. We are committed to personal, confidential, and compassionate counseling. Many of our clients have been elsewhere and convey that they are grateful to have been referred to us.
We pray that we are always found faithful with each and every one of our clients. Life is filled with seasons. Therapy can work differently with different clinicians and during different seasons. Give us a try!
No, not at all. We were not all steeped in the faith. We are sensitive and respectful of those who don’t share our faith. We want to meet you where you are and cultivate healing in your life. You are safe with us.
No. You can expect professional, caring, respectful interaction with your clinician. Not only will we not force faith or religion on you, we won’t force anything on you. You have choices. We want to support you as you evaluate your options and make the best choice for you.
Absolutely! We all have extensive mentoring experience. We also have a huge heart for the sanctification process and would love to join you on your journey.
It is heartbreaking that there can be so much division among Christians. It is our priority to respect denominational differences while guarding the sanctity of core theology. You can expect freedom and flexibility in practices of worship. There are denominational differences even among our team of Olive Branch clinicians and we work great together!
Most definitely, as long as you’re traveling within the state. We offer HIPPA-compliant online video sessions for clients anywhere within the state of Mississippi.
